Use of the sauna is done so at your own risk.
If you are making a booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to make all users aware of the terms and conditions and to practise safe sauna use, as well as making others aware of what to bring and other useful information.
We reserve the right to refuse admission for any reason that may be deemed a health and safety risk. Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission.
Customers who cause damage to the sauna will be liable for costs incurred.
In the case of a fire, please leave the sauna immediately and inform the sauna host.
Alcohol and smoking are not permitted in or around the sauna.
You must not use the sauna, steam room, hot tub or jacuzzi if you:
a) suffer from high or low blood pressure or any heart or circulatory disorder or suffer from epilepsy or diabetes
b) are pregnant
c) are prone to dizziness or fainting
before the sauna
Do not drink alcohol, smoke or take drugs before entering or during your sauna session. Nowhere Sauna hosts reserve the right to refuse admission to intoxicated persons. Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission.
All persons using the sauna do so at their own risk. These risks include the potential for bodily harm and even death. We ask that you contact your GP if at all in doubt about safely using the sauna.
If any of the below apply to you (please note, this is not a comprehensive list) we advise you to seek your GP’s advice: –
If you’re pregnant
If you’ve had a heart attack or stroke
If you’re taking any medications
If you have cardiovascular conditions and/or problems
You have epilepsy
You have asthma or breathing conditions
High or low blood pressure
If you have arterial disease
If you have joint or muscle injury
For the safety of your personal belongings please keep them to a minimum when coming to the sauna, ensure they are not obstructing doorways/entrance & exits. We cannot take any liability for losses.

Please keep the door clear at all times.
Please clean your feet in the water bucket by the entrance before entering the sauna.
We recommend bringing 2 towels. 1 for sitting on and 1 for drying off after.
Do not wear any creams or lotions.
Creams and lotions can cause damage to the benches.
We are all responsible for looking after the fresh water and natural habitat surrounding the sauna. Keeping the sauna space cream and lotion free will avoid harmful pollutants entering the environment.
Leave the sauna if you start to feel uncomfortable, nauseous, dizzy or lightheaded. Please ask for help.
Listen to your body, it’s not a competition.
Nudity is not permitted. Swimsuit, towel, or light breathable clothing must be worn at all times.
Stay hydrated throughout your sauna session.
No food or drinks are allowed in the sauna.
For everyone’s comfort and privacy, the sauna and surrounding area is a phone-free space
Please do not comment on other people’s bodies.
All guests are welcome regardless of gender identity.
Private sessions are available for those who prefer a more personal experience.
Please respect others. The sauna is a shared space to unwind and relax.

Please enter and exit the sauna with care.
The sauna is wood-fired and is extremely hot. Do not touch the stove, stove door, flu chimney, sauna rocks or surrounding fire guards.
Do not touch any part of the stove, if more wood is required please inform the Sauna host.
You are welcome to pour water over the stones using the ladle and water provided, just check with your fellow bathers first as it will increase the heat!
When pouring water on the rocks, start from the point furthest away from you and draw the ladle towards you to prevent the steam from scalding your arm.
Jewellery should be removed before entering the sauna to prevent burning. Please ensure that your swimsuit does not contain any slimming panels or metal components that may heat up and potentially cause skin burns.
In the sauna there are benches on low and high levels. The high benches are much hotter than the lower, so place yourself according to your comfort level. It is important to note that a sauna can make you feel hot, light headed and faint. Should you feel these symptoms are beyond your comfort/control please notify another sauna bather or the sauna operator immediately so they can help you.
Do not use essential oils in the sauna.

Children 16 years and under are now permitted to use the sauna during a private session, as long as an Adult Family Member/Guardian is present at ALL TIMES during the use of the sauna.
No under 16’s allowed in the Plunge Pool / Cold shower
Temperature reduced to 60–70°C to ensure a comfortable and safe experience.
Children should sit on the lower benches where it’s cooler.
Children should stay hydrated
Keep sauna visits short and gentle, taking breaks as needed.
Children should sit away from the stove area at all times.

Weather Conditions
Our sauna is outdoors and operates in most weather conditions, including rain, wind, and snow. Please come prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear.
Adverse Weather
We do not offer refunds or cancellations due to unfavourable but non-hazardous weather conditions, including rain, low temperatures, or typical seasonal Scottish conditions.
Severe Weather & Safety
In the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions (including but not limited to high winds, storms, flooding, snow, ice, or official red weather warnings), we reserve the right to cancel, delay, or amend your booking in the interest of safety.
Cancellation By Us
Where we cancel a booking due to unsafe conditions, customers will be offered either:
A rescheduled booking, or
A full refund
Access and Travel
Customers are responsible for allowing sufficient travel time and assessing local travel conditions. We are unable to offer refunds for missed bookings due to travel disruption, road conditions, or personal decisions not to attend.
Customer Cancellations
Choosing not to attend due to personal preference regarding weather conditions will be treated as a cancellation under our standard cancellation policy.
Rescheduling
You can reschedule your sauna session up to 48 hours in advance online.
Cancellations made 48 hours online before your scheduled session will be refunded minus the Stripe payment fee (1.2% +20p).
For bookings cancelled less than 48 hours before your sauna session, we cannot provide a refund.
If you need to reschedule within 48 hours of your sauna session, we will do our best to accommodate your rescheduled booking, however, this will depend on whether there are slots available.
Customers will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule their sauna session in the event of red weather warnings or unforeseen circumstances.

Cold Plunge
The cold water is fresh water fed from the burn. Use the water at your own risk. Wild swimming rules apply, please close your mouth and eyes. Nowhere sauna takes no responsibility for ingestion of burn water.
Use the cold plunge at your own risk. It is your own responsibility to ensure that you can withstand exposure to these cold temperatures.
If you decide to expose your body to cold water, please enter the water gradually, giving your body time to adjust especially after heat.
We do not recommend submersing your head under the water. Immersing your head in cold water while holding your breath can induce cardiac arrhythmia and death.
If you feel unwell while using the sauna or cold plunge please ask the sauna host for help
Covid-19
If you’re experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 or any other acute respiratory illness, we kindly request that you refrain from using the sauna.
Finally
Please remember to listen to your body and know your limits.
